LOL...tq2...i consider going sideways is a 'blackart' in real life as well as in sim. Im getting familar with heeling n toeing (as in grip racing) but the still not sure how to start a drift.
Basically, the setup of the car kinna have to be more loaded to the front, no? Since u need the rear kinna wanna swap with the front...but drifters ctrl the moment in between that...am i rite?
yea2, DARKSIDE!
hurmm...let see, i tried to attach the file here but ended up FAIL. do host the game coz there we can send our setup as ur R&D 'base'. i dont know about others, but for me i will set the suspension as stiff as possible WITHOUT messing up the car which ends up has a very2 bumpy ride and for the front suspension i do make it stifer but not as stiff as the rear and not as soft as the grip setup. get what i mean? and the camber too, the camber i set to negative value and it depends on the layout really. some layout needs VERY2 big negative camber and others just nice with -1 or -2.

Why do you use LFS rather than a rfactor mod ? Is LFS better ?
I tried the demo, it's fun. But the demo car is kinda underpowered, no ?
the rFactor drift mod cant stand the chance to LFS in terms of drifting. in rfactor, just like i said no matter how much u trash ur clutch by clutch kicking technique it will end up going strong with no ending but in LFS u can just simply overheat ur clutch. that's y in the competition it gets very2 challenging especialy in one on one battle. u see, u wont be given any chance to pit for tyre change or repair when u are fighting against one particular drifter. so, if both of u are equally good and using almost the same setup the only different it makes is the way u take care of ur clutch, suspension and rear tyres so that those can last as long as possible. FYI, there's high possibility that a battle last for 5 or 6 rounds. imagine if u do clutch kicking technique too much, can ur clutch survive till the end? no!. and u want to begg the judge to give u chance to pit? KISS MY ASS he said, UNLESS, it goes WAY TOO LONG and both drivers are asking for pit then it will be fine. but IIRC, me and tydus did face each other and we drag the battle to 4th round, and yet the judge didnt let us pit (IMG:

the demo car is 1.8L NA with the weight of that freaking chasis alone just a lil bit lighter than the turbo version 2.0L. so, the car is indeed underpower. but if u have enough skill(no offense)+the habit of full throttle most of the time and nicely setup car, u can actually drift it at 120kmh. hehehe. DCM LFS drifters prove them in one of the event back in 08.

hehey.. welcome to the darkside; full with evil spirit LOL. yea, drift actually an art as u dancing around the course. well mara, the setups can be differ from others and it is more to personal taste. just like in grip, where u tune the car to go fast on straight OR going fast on corners. u pick. its pretty much the same way in drifting. as the rule of thumb, yea, it is easier to drift if u put more mass upfront. but for me i like the natural kind of way.
