Thanks for the insights both kamal n tydus are sifoos...heheh....i think azrink knows some drifting too.

when u say clutch kicking, wut abt u guys who use momo without clutch pedal? Do u use auto clutch or assign clutch to different button?

ahaha yea. those who are using momo sure use autoclutch set to > on. but we do assign it to button. i prefer to assign it to paddle (ya know the thing that behind that steering wheel, what u called it ah? lol )

although autoclutch is off, u cant simply changing gears. must lift off the throttle first before engaging to the next gear or vise versa.

my clutch button is on the steering wheel itself. the button i assign for 'request for pitstop' in rfactor becomes 'clutch' in LFS. sometime i do assign the clutch at the shifter. u know not the pedal shifter, the other one like the gear knob. what is it called again?

i assign that normally for HUGE LAYOUT. eg:the irwindale alike layout at...apa nama itu trek tydus? siap ada banked curve and not to forget at blackwood reverse. by doing that i can feel more fun like i actually drift in real life car coz i can 'whack whack whack' the gear knob when im chasing someone.bu, there's a catch lah, only one hand left on the steering wheel to hold the force feedback during drifting. it wont be a problem for those who are used to it though.

however in tight drift layout taht MOST of the event is held, i use them at the button on the steering wheel lah. coz tight layout usually requires both hand to counter steer. steer, hold, oversteer bla2 when drifting.

but that's just me. maybe u guys tydus and the gang or even bro mara himself can drift with one hand there. who knows, im not even a small snail also. budak hingusan je. (IMG:http://www.malaysiansimracers.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

the rFactor drift mod cant stand the chance to LFS in terms of drifting. in rfactor, just like i said no matter how much u trash ur clutch by clutch kicking technique it will end up going strong with no ending but in LFS u can just simply overheat ur clutch.

Other than superior physics modelling of the clutch in LFS, how does the rest of the rFactor Drift mod compare with the LFS Drift ? Ignoring for the moment the clutch in rFactor, does the rFactor Drift drive as convincingly as LFS Drift ?

i think clutch modelling is a vital part in producing close to real life drifting. rFactor couldnt model as good as LFS, thus the drifting will be not as good.

Another thing abt LFS is i like the build in suspension and tyres adjusment in the garage where u can see the difference in the setting, graphically. U can 'drop' the car and see how the car bounce (or not), simulating the suspension setting n bhaviour.

And......

I'll buy it this weekend. Do I just need S2 ?

Supposedly the LFS Caterham mod is also very good.

Drift promo by Japanese ranking drifters for Advan AD07 Tyres :-

I got these tyres on my car. Very good grip on dry but need to be very cautious on wet.
