To me it is important to have a good cornering phases, mastered for u to be quick.

My cornerning phases are (most of time), brake n turn (trail) and wait for the apex and throttle on gradually as i unwind the wheels. But bad habits die hard. I still sometime carry though ol NFS habits and it really destroy my pace. My nfs bad habit is to slide around the corners instead of minimizing the slip angle, resulting in increasing tyre wear and after few laps, fatigue.

Talking about bad habits, I used to have bad tyre management. I push beyond limit of traction which is most of the time unnecessary. I think it was few seasons later in my stint with MSR that I learn tyre management of part of the race strategy.

And sometimes with soft G25 flappy pedals, hand on the gears is always a bad technique. Even now sometimes I had sudden unneeded downshifts coming into turn which causes instability to the car.

Please learn & train how to avoid contact, dont bump the rival but it happen in real life also :),

both of my leg stay at pedal all the time especially the brake (left foot), i use trail braking a lot.

I like to feather the throtle, I feather it a lot. I have developed better sense of throttling after few seasons of training. I know it benefits me a lot becuase I can have a car that is sliglhty on oversteer because of the throttle application.

It's quite beneficaial to me since I can direct my car gradually to the apex by appllying throttle. It's quite good cos besides steering and brake, I also have another form of directional control.

I always wanted to go into the turn earlier most of the time, fight the apex hard to make the car stayed there, and on throttling, I alter the pitch angle of the car and straightened the steer to the outside of the exit with 100% throttle (depends on the corner though). Because I like to turn in earlier, I need a really good pointy car. And a pointy car normally quite easy on the front tyres since it balances the forces quite well on the car.

We need to balance the forces so that the tyres can sustain long stint and still have the pace. F1 is very tricky in this aspect because the car is so sensitive to changes. Poor balancing of the loads will lead to graining(motec can display this-but very tricky to get correct averaging of loads). Then to prevent graining, most of the time we opted for a harder compound. It's a good solution to the problem, but if your nearest competitor manage to find a good balance and run on the softer compound tyre, then you will be at a disadvantage.

recently i feel like i need a car with understeer.. try to drive smooth, but pretty rough at times thru corners..
