Anyone knows where I can find "self etching primer" in a spray can ?
I need to paint over chrome, and the regular primer I am using doesn't stick. As result the paint chip easily. "Self etching primer" is a special acidic primer that chemically "attacks" the bare metal and bond with it. It can be found in automotive paint shop as it use in particular there, or for example when you want to refurbish rims.
I have tried to ask 2-3 shops but they don't have it. And I tried Ace hardware but the salesmen there don't know sh*t.
Anyone would know a good DIY shop address ? Or some automotive / paint shop that could send this kind of stuff ?
