1. Zandvoort race review
Maranello55 strikes again! No its not a new Star Wars flick, but maranello did it again at Zandvoort; scoring back to back hattrick of pole-race win-fastest lap. Round 2 of MSR V8 Supercars league was held at the historical Zandvoort. Eleven drivers took part in the one hour, with second place driver in the championship Pccrazy did not took part.
All of the driver made it safely through the first corner despite the wheel-to-wheel (sometimes more :P ) racing. There were fierce battle through out the race. evoHahn race was in jeopardy when he hit the wall, but he managed to make his way to the pits for repairs.
Raikkonen also share the same fate when he retires because of suspension. At the end of the race, maranello55 won the race with mesmerizing speed he showed during the past week. Madnoren came in second and move up to second in the championship as well as sabelt as he finished.
Soze was unlucky as he was disqualified from the race. Currently maranello is leading the championship with 30 points with joint second madnoren and sabelt are 8 points adrift. For the next race, the MSR league will move to North America, to the famous Laguna Seca. Will maranello triumph again ? Or we'll see a new winner? Stay tune and find out for yourself.
2. New look to our website…. Check it out !!! J
3. Changes in MSR rules. In this newsletter we attach the new revised rules and regulations. All drivers please read the new version.
4. Also in this newsletter, the updated MSR league stats. For the MSR reputation points will be updated next week.
5. The GTR2 season review video project is still in the works. The director blame the lack of coffee and biscuits for the delays.

1.Madnoren takes the flag !
Another M is on the top of the podium this time, despite starting from second spot on the grid, madnoren won the Laguna Seca race; round 3 of the MSR V8 Supercars league.
The championship leader, maranello could only finished second. He described the race as a tough race. Hampered by traffic, sabelt finished third despite at one point he was in second place in the race. The result didnt have too much impact on the league table, as maranello is still leading the way with 43 points, followed by madnoren 37 points and sabelt with 33 points. Madnoren was very happy after the race when his strategy won him the race.
Only 10 drivers took part in round three. Many were absent due to other commitments. The league also welcome back pittqis after a long hiatus, but his comeback was cut short when he retired in lap 5. Raikkonen alos retired in his third successive race with no championship points so far. The race was filled with incidents and the the league admins are looking into ways of reducing it
before the next round take place at Brand Hatch.
2. With this newsletter also, i have included an article submitted by maranello.
3. If you havent voted the mod for our upcoming open wheel league, please do so at : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/445171
Facts and figures will be updated on Tuesday!

I'm ditching the format of the newsletter numbering because I'm lazy to keep track of the number :P
1. Last nite was a giggle practising online. Mr. izzNatta hosted the game where he set up the game where V8 cars and F3 cars can run side by side. Soze and izzNatta chose V8 and I picked F3. First of, the F3, thanks to its adjustable front and rear wings is more grippy around Birmingham. But the V8 had more grunt and more top speed. So I was able to catch up to the guys in V8 in corners but it is a bit hard in the straight. It was frightening too while I was overtaking izzNatta, because I was so low and he could see me in the mirrors :dance4:
So what does this mean? Maybe in the future we can do a race between different mods. Gallardo vs V8 vs Megane vs F3 vs F2 vs Clio Vvs M3 anyone?
2. Since we are only weeks away from our F1 league, so whats your take on the race distance? 100 % race distance with normal tire wear and fuel usage? 75 % race distance? or we keep our current format; 1 hour race with x2 tire wear and fuel usage? Discuss it at our forums.
3. Just some and figures of our league.
a. 22 drivers have participated in our league.
b. So far we have 15 races. No one has 100% attendance record.
c. On average, every driver raced 184 laps covering the distance of 849.77 km. evoHahn has the most number of laps and distance covered : 366 laps ( 1, 686.4 km). Only 9 drivers clocked over 1,000 km (40%).
d. Only 7 drivers got pole (31.8 %) with Pccrazy scoring 5 of them. Again Pccrazy holds the most number of fastest laps with 5. Five other drivers have done it also ( 22.7%).
e. Redline (aka madnoren) holds the most number of wins with 5. Only 6 drivers have won (27.2%).
f. Pccrazy has the most number of hattricks (3) and 3 other drivers have done it also.
g. On average every drivers scored 78 points and 9 people have scored beyond the 100 points mark (40.9 %).
h. Eleven drivers has visited the podium (50 %) and the biggest grid we had was at Donnington GP with 15 drivers.

1. Maranello bounced back !
Maranello won round five of the MSR V8 league race at Birmingham on Sunday. He was back on winning ways as he did not finish the race on the previous round. In qualifying session
he registered his fourth pole by beating his nearest chalengger, madnoren, by only 0.008 seconds. Pccrazy was unlucky as his' game crashed on the warm up lap. There was havoc
at the first corner, as newcomer TheXxBestxX, retired at the 1st lap when he collided with izznatta.
Maranello lead the race from start to finish, with stiff opposition from the chasing pack but he prevailed at the end. After the win, maranello closed the gap to madnoren to just
seven points with sabelt still in third with 53 points. Ryugan made a rare visit to the podium by finishing third. With 3 races to go, it's clearly a two way competition
between maranello and madnoren with sabelt keeping close company. Next race is a night race at Adelaide. See you there.

Pccrazy a.k.a muaz won at adelaide !
Last season champion, Pccrazy finally back to his winning ways by winning round 6 of MSR V8 Supercars league at Adelaide. In a commanding performance by him, he lead from start to finish and setting fastest lap along the way. Championship leader, madnoren could only finish second and his unplanned meeting with the wall did not help his cause to challenge pccrazy. This season rookie, dzariq deservely finished third.
The turn out for this race is dissapointing, only ten racers took part. This race was marred with may incidents and surely the race marshall will have their hands full. With two race to go, it's a three way battle between madnoren, maranello and sabelt. Next race is at Phillips Island, don't miss it !

1. Madnoren is one step closer to his first league title after he won yesterday v8 race at Phillips Island on Sunday, just minutes to midnight. It was his 6th race win in his career. His main challenger, maranello55 kept his title hopes alive by finishing second. Last season champion, PCcrazy, finished third.
On race day, only eleven driver took part and the MSR league administrator hopes that the turn out will be better for the last race. The league welcome back acid_rulezz after his one and only race in GTR2
league. But his race was cut short when he had to attend to 'family matters'. Pittqis and TheXxBestxX scored their first points on yesterday race.
With one race to go, its now a two way horse race between madnoren and maranello. Who will win?
2. Birmingham race penalty :
thexxbestxx - 5 MSR points deduction for chatting in the race session.
