Muaz Does The Treble!!

Sakhir track may well be a dusty and humid track in real life but it also marked Muaz third win in a row, leading the table ahead of last season champion, Nazirull. He demonstrated his superiority once again by leading the pack of 16 drivers that had raced that evening.

Muaz (PCcrazy) has pointed out that the most important aspect when it comes to the race is, the drivers should understand that the first corner is not the checkered flag after the race has just been started. "This was the most significant problem whenever it came to Race Day as certain drivers just can’t seem to control their spirited drive. With cold tyres and brakes, the first corner can actually be one of the best disaster recipe a driver would ever come up with," he highlighted.

Round 3 – Chinese Grand Prix

It was a surprise that the race had even started as just a few hours before the start of first Sprint Qualifying Session, many drivers were reportedly plague with their broadband connections due to the heavy thundershower rain raging around the Peninsular area and getting online was like a distance catch. Those who managed to get online however was stunned by the race official thread in the forum, after realizing that a poll regarding postponing the race had been posted. This was because, there were doubts regarding the Race Admins connection had been affected too. However, 15 minutes prior to the Sprint Race Qualifying, around 15 drivers had already logged on the server and there was no doubt about the race commencing as, Muaz (PCcrazy) who is also one of the league admins, was around that night.

Round 2 – Malaysian GP

Round 2 of the Malaysian Sim Racers Season 8 continues at Sepang with 19 drivers starting the race behind pole leader Muaz. The season 1 champ managed to snatch pole ahead of Albert Park winner Nazirull who had a blundering start when he accidentally hit the pitlane speed limiter after the lights went off and ended up 17th by the first lap.

Round 1 – Opening Race, Melbourne Australia

The inaugural Malaysian Sim Racer F1 Season kicks off with a splashing start as 22 drivers line-up on the grid after qualifying for the first time. Since the end of Season 7, drivers were already advice by the League Admins regarding Season 8 choice of mod; which is the newly released CDTP F1 2006 which meant the 2 months break allowed drivers to adapt towards driving the challenging F1 modeled machines. Nazirull, who was the Season Champion for Season 7, started his Season 8 campaign perfectly as he managed to clinch the win of the opening season’s race at Albert Park Circuit, Australia.

MSR 8th Season Announced

The Malaysian Sim Racers (MSR) Season 8 is kicking off this 27th February with confirmed registration of 32 drivers, two of which are from Thailand and Canada respectively. Another driver from France, Arnaud Martin who is currently living in Malaysia would also be in the running among the 32 drivers registered.

For Season 8, the CTDP F1 2006 mod has been selected due to its perfectly done physics and graphically advance mod up to date. The first venue of the season opener race will be held at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia in accordance to the F1 2009 World Championship calendar. However the dates regarding the race schedule has been changed by the League Administration in order to shorten the season period.  

Season 7 Champion, Nazirull (Maranello55) and Season 1 Champion, Muaz (PCcrazy) who is currently using the McLaren MP4/21 car are both expected to be among the highest favorites for this upcoming Season Champion. After five Pre-Season Test races, both drivers were equally quick during both, practice session and during the full race distance which had been set out by the League Advisors for this season.

During the period when the Test Race sessions were initiated, the MSR Server was obviously fully utilized by both drivers in search of the best setup. When combined, a total of more than 100 hours of track experience as compared to the other drivers participating in the MSR Season 8 will undoubtedly untangled any mysteries that would appear during the pre-season test, as the CTDP F1 2006 mod was only released and are available to be downloaded late November last year.
